Cruz “Toni” (Benitez) Agosto

Cruz “Toni” Agosto of Enterprise, Alabama, passed away peacefully in her home April 6, 2024 surrounded by her family. She was 81.

Funeral services will be at 2PM on Wednesday, April 10, 2024 at chapel of Sorrells Funeral Home with Father Zakary Greenwell officiating and Sorrells Funeral Home directing. Family will receive friends one hour prior to the service.

Toni was born May 3, 1942 in Puerto Rico to the late Juan Benitez and Herminia Camacho Benitez. In addition to her parents, her husband of 35 years Hector Agosto; her son Dioni Del Valle II; her sister Violeta Coto; brothers Edward Camacho, William Benitez, and Juan Benitez all preceded her in death.

She loved travelling around the world, visiting her children and grandchildren. She was an avid watcher of Novellas, a bonding experience shared across the generations to this day. Cruz had a huge heart for all animals and all were welcome in her home regardless of size. She was a great cook even working as a Chef, but most importantly she was an amazing mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and dear friend. She loved time with her family more than anything else.

Survivors include: her daughter Eva Segers (Vitelio Valderrama), sisters Rose Camacho of Enterprise, AL and Rosie Benitez of Philadelphia, PA; five grandchildren Dioni Del Valle III (Hanna Del Valle), SirLinda Smith (Brent Smith), Andrea Gee (Rafael Ortiz), Sheylie Agosto, Dayana Agosto. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren Mina Del Valle, Rosalie Smith, Erielle Smith, Evangelene Brigman-Ortiz and Josiah Ortiz.
